Amelia Kerr Takes Hat-Trick as New Zealand Seal 3-0 ODI Sweep of Zimbabwe

  • New Zealand won the third ODI in Dunedin by 200 runs to complete a 3-0 whitewash of Zimbabwe.
  • Kerr opened with 80 off 106 as the hosts posted 303 for 6, with Maddy Green top-scoring on 94.
  • She then took 5 for 22, including her first ODI hat-trick, the 14th in the women's game and the third by a New Zealander.
  • The five-for arrived in a 3.1-over burst and followed earlier returns of 4-35 and 7-34, giving her 16 wickets at 5.68 for the series, the second-most in a single ODI series.
  • Kerr was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series, and New Zealand now turn to a five-match T20I series against South Africa as T20 World Cup preparation.
