AMD Brings FSR 4.1 to RX 7000 GPUs After Driver Triggers Windows 10 Recognition Failures

Engineers are investigating a Windows 10 compatibility bug that can display yellow exclamation marks next to GPUs or stop some PCs from booting.

AMD published Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 on Monday, June 22, which formally adds FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 4.1 support for Radeon RX 7000 discrete graphics and adds game-specific optimizations.
The company says it validated FSR 4.1 across hundreds of PC configurations from the RX 7600 through the 7900XTX and plans a lightweight machine-learning model to extend FSR 4.1 to RDNA3-based APUs.
After the update, Windows 10 users began reporting a compatibility regression that makes Device Manager show yellow exclamation marks beside GPUs and can produce the error “当前启动 AMD Software 版本不兼容当前安装的 AMD 显卡驱动程序,” with some systems failing to boot.
AMD’s engineering team confirmed the bug, advised affected users to roll back to Adrenalin Edition 26.6.1 while a fix is developed, and said further testing is underway for lower-end cards such as the RX 7500.
For users this means delaying the 26.6.2 update on Windows 10 machines until AMD issues a patch, while gamers and developers can expect higher frame rates and improved image quality on RX 7000 hardware once FSR 4.1 is safely deployed.
