AMC+ Secures Exclusive U.S. Streaming for Doctor Who’s 2005–2022 Run Starting June 11

The move restores a U.S. streaming home for the revival era following HBO Max’s 2025 removal.

Overview

  • AMC+ announced Thursday that it will stream 13 seasons and 176 episodes of the revived Doctor Who exclusively in the U.S. beginning June 11.
  • The library covers the 2005–2022 run and features the five modern Doctors, from Christopher Eccleston through Jodie Whittaker.
  • The deal excludes the classic 1963–1989 series, the 60th anniversary specials, and the recent Ncuti Gatwa seasons that remain on Disney+.
  • AMC+ is dangling a limited $29.99 annual subscription offer tied to the launch, with the promotion ending May 25.
  • The acquisition ends a year-long gap after HBO Max pulled seasons 1–13 in July 2025, and it returns the series to the AMC Networks fold that previously aired it on BBC America even as the franchise stays split across platforms.
