Ambuja Cements Sets Q3 Records, Advances ACC and Orient Amalgamation

The profit picture reflects exceptional charges alongside differences between standalone and consolidated disclosures.

  • The company reported highest-ever revenue of Rs 10,277 crore and sales volume of 18.9 million tonnes, up 17% year-on-year.
  • Standalone profit after tax fell to Rs 203.99 crore as VAT and labour-related provisions and higher power, freight and finance costs weighed on margins.
  • On a consolidated basis, profit after tax rose to Rs 378 crore from Rs 106 crore a year earlier, with EBITDA at Rs 1,353 crore and a 13.2% margin, and the company said it remains debt-free with top credit ratings.
  • A 2.4 MTPA grinding unit at Marwar was commissioned during the quarter, taking total cement capacity to 109 MTPA.
  • The quarter added 225 MW of solar power, lifting renewable capacity to 898 MW with a stated target of 1,122 MW by FY27, as Ambuja advanced a plan to amalgamate ACC and Orient into a unified platform.
