Ambuja Cements Reports Record FY26 and Cautious FY27 Outlook

Management guides to roughly 5% industry growth in FY27 due to geopolitical strain plus a weak monsoon forecast.

Overview

  • Ambuja Cements, which reported results Monday, closed FY26 with record sales of 73.7 million tonnes and revenue of Rs 40,656 crore.
  • EBITDA on a normalised basis rose 31% for the year to Rs 6,539 crore, equal to Rs 887 per tonne.
  • Q4 FY26 set a new sales-volume high at 19.9 million tonnes as consolidated revenue reached about Rs 10,915 crore.
  • Standalone Q4 profit swung to Rs 1,643.66 crore after a Q3 loss, and consolidated profit for the quarter was Rs 1,857 crore.
  • The board recommended a Rs 2 per share dividend for FY26 with a June 12 record date and a June 26 AGM, while management plans fuel-mix changes, more renewable power, better logistics and long-term sourcing to offset cost pressure from higher fuel, packaging shortages and a weaker rupee.
