Overview
- Amazon outlined a $25 billion expansion of cloud and data centers in Mississippi, with about 2,000 full-time roles projected across sites in Hinds, Madison, and Warren counties.
- The build will support Amazon Web Services in the region and is projected to generate hundreds of millions in new state and local revenue for schools, services, and infrastructure.
- To staff the sites, the company is funding skills pipelines through its Career Choice tuition program plus new training with AccelerateMS and Holmes and Hinds Community Colleges.
