Overview
- The 12-storey BLR 37 campus in Vinayak Nagar near Yelahanka, about 15 km from Kempegowda International Airport, was inaugurated with Karnataka minister M. B. Patil as chief guest.
- The facility is designed to host more than 7,000 employees and consolidates teams across ecommerce, operations, payments, technology and seller services.
- Amazon and Karnataka officials outlined an additional $35 billion investment in India, reported variously as planned over the next four years or by 2030, on top of more than $40 billion already invested.
- State leaders said the commitment is expected to support 15 million small businesses and generate lakhs of jobs, with Karnataka anticipating a significant share of the gains.
