- Panos Panay, Amazon’s devices chief, confirmed Thursday that the company designs end-to-end silicon for consumer hardware and that AZ3 and AZ3 Pro chips are already inside Echo Show and Fire TV models.
- Amazon says the AZ3 family runs AI tasks locally with dedicated accelerators, and it credits the chips for faster wake-word detection and better noise filtering on recent Echo speakers.
