Amazfit Unveils Balance 3 and Premium Balance Ultra Smartwatches

The new watches are central to a Zepp app-based Hybrid Training and HybridCharge system that ties training load to recovery guidance.

Overview

  • Amazfit announced the Balance 3 and Balance Ultra in early June and opened pre-orders for the stainless‑steel Balance 3 and the Balance Ultra with shipping slated for mid‑June.
  • Both models share a large 1.5‑inch AMOLED screen protected by sapphire glass with a 3,000‑nit peak brightness and a 10 ATM water‑resistance rating suitable for swimming and recreational free diving.
  • The watches act as the hardware for Amazfit’s HybridCharge Energy Intelligence in the Zepp app, which combines BioCharge, LifeLoad and Training Load into a single HybridCharge metric and delivers structured training plans and recovery guidance.
  • Amazfit states the Balance 3 uses a 658mAh battery for up to about 21 days of typical use while the titanium‑cased Balance Ultra uses a 780mAh cell for up to about 30 days, though independent long‑term testing of those claims is not yet available.
  • The lineup targets ‘hybrid athletes’ and HYROX competitors with dual‑band GPS, offline maps, 64GB storage, continuous health sensors and HYROX race tools; pricing starts around $370 for the stainless‑steel Balance 3 and about $600 for the Balance Ultra with titanium variants to follow.
