Amazfit Launches EU Beta to Send Interactive iPhone Notifications to Its Watches

The move follows new EU interoperability rules and could give Amazfit’s battery-optimized watches fuller smartwatch controls.

Overview

  • Amazfit announced on Monday that it is opening an EU-only beta for iOS Notification Forwarding that begins rolling out to users this week.
  • The feature delivers interactive notifications on supported Amazfit watches, letting users view full messages, reply, send quick responses, mark items as read, and see image previews.
  • Participation requires an iPhone running iOS 26.5 or later and the latest Zepp App update, which will prompt users to enable the feature or allow manual activation in Devices > Notifications > App Notifications.
  • The beta initially covers the Cheetah 2 Ultra, Balance Ultra and Balance 3 with the Bip Max, Active 3 Premium, Cheetah 2 Pro, T‑Rex 3 line, Ultra 2 and Balance 2 slated to join in the coming weeks and months.
  • Amazfit and coverage link the change to the EU’s Digital Markets Act, which loosens Apple’s platform limits and could broaden options for iPhone users who want richer watch interactions without switching to an Apple Watch.
