- Producers announced on Aug. 26 that Spencer Sutherland will begin performances as Romeo on Sept. 15 and Aly Michalka will begin as Anne Hathaway on Nov. 3, both for limited engagements.
- The casting moves mark Broadway debuts for both Sutherland, a recording artist, and Michalka, known for her duo Aly & AJ and screen work, who each issued statements calling the roles a milestone.

- Since opening on Broadway in November 2022, & Juliet has used celebrity casting and event programming to sustain momentum for the jukebox musical by David West Read with songs linked to Max Martin, including reaching its 1,500th performance in June 2026.
