Jeffery reached the conditional agreement with San Diego prosecutors that will result in dismissal of two felony insurance‑fraud counts if he meets the requirements within 60 days.
The written conditions, signed in July, require payments of $840.46 to Kemper Insurance, $2,500 to the Lyft driver for a deductible and $500 to the California Department of Insurance Anti‑Fraud Fund.
The district attorney told the court that Jeffery had already made the required restitution payments by July 10, leaving 50 hours of community service and the 60‑day compliance window as the remaining obligations.
The charges stem from a Sept. 21, 2025 crash on northbound Interstate 5 in San Diego, where prosecutors say Jeffery lacked insurance, obtained a policy on Sept. 24 and then filed a claim listing a false Sept. 28 date.
If Jeffery completes the obligations and has no new criminal cases the matter will be dismissed in the interest of justice, but prosecutors can reinstate the case if he fails to comply or faces new charges.
