Overview
- Eintracht confirmed that Alexander Meier will serve as co-trainer of the first team under head coach Adi Hütter on a three-year contract that runs through 30 June 2029.
- Meier joins a senior coaching group that also includes co-trainers Christian Peintinger and Klaus Schmidt and goalkeeper coach Jan Zimmermann.
- He holds the DFB A-license and earlier this year spent about two weeks working with the first-team interim staff, giving him direct exposure to senior-level training and match preparation.
- Meier advanced through Eintracht’s academy coaching ranks since 2020, moving from U21 co-trainer to U16 head coach and then U19 head coach, and he led the U19s into the UEFA Youth League last-16.
- As a 14-year club veteran and the Bundesliga top scorer in 2015/16, Meier’s appointment reinforces Eintracht’s focus on internal development and club identity and could strengthen ties between the academy and the senior squad.
