Alexander Brothers Convicted on All Counts in Manhattan Sex-Trafficking Trial

Sentencing is set for Aug. 6 with the trio jailed in Brooklyn.

Overview

  • A federal jury returned guilty verdicts on all 10 counts after roughly three days of deliberations in the five-week trial.
  • Eleven women testified that one or more brothers drugged and sexually assaulted them at parties, in homes, and on trips to the Hamptons, Aspen, and a Caribbean cruise.
  • Prosecutors presented texts, blog posts, and a video they said showed Oren Alexander assaulting an incapacitated 17-year-old, with convictions including sex trafficking of a minor and aggravated sexual abuse for some defendants.
  • Prosecutors told jurors that more than 60 women have accused one or more of the brothers, with alleged conduct spanning approximately 2008 to 2021.
  • Defense lawyers insist the encounters were consensual and plan to appeal, while the brothers also face roughly two dozen civil suits and additional state charges in Florida.
