Overview
- Six stores will be extended: Beck Road, Huddersfield; Glamorgan Vale RP, Llantrisant; Bebington Road, Bebington; Springbank Road, Stirling; Smithdown Road, Liverpool; Brooks Road, Lewes.
- Five branches will get upgrades this year: Chester-le-Street (County Durham); Handsworth Road (Sheffield); Haverhill (Suffolk); Tybridge Street (Worcester); Chorley (Lancashire).
- Planned changes include larger shopping areas and energy-saving measures such as fridge doors, natural refrigerants, updated fixtures, new signage and redesigned layouts.
- Liverpool’s Smithdown Road store is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen on February 24.
- Aldi has begun detailing regional spend, confirming £6,195,000 for Merseyside as part of a wider £1.6bn two-year investment alongside a separate £370m plan to open 40 new stores.
