- Aldi announced on June 10 that it has transferred about 1,200 electric vehicle chargers at more than 250 UK stores to Drax Electric Vehicles, which will operate the network.
- The companies set fixed per‑kWh prices of 40p for fast charging and 62p for rapid charging and said customers can pay via the Charge Assist app or by contactless card with no subscription required.
- Aldi published technical site standards that include two AC fast chargers serving up to four bays at 22kW and up to two DC rapid chargers serving up to four bays at 160kW at each site.
- The upgraded network is already live at multiple locations including Diss, Eastbourne, Durham and Yate and Drax said it will assist with future installations as the roll‑out continues.
