Alaska Airlines Jet Receives Mandalorian and Grogu Makeover

Disney Parks timed the update as a coordinated marketing activation to support the film’s release and drive park interest.

Overview

  • Disney Parks published official photos showing a large Mandalorian and Grogu decal near the boarding door and Aurebesh “Welcome Aboard” lettering on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800.
  • The interior photos show Grogu ear headbands on headrests plus branded merchandise pouches and hats placed on seats to create an onboard promotional experience.
  • Images released by Disney also show the Mandalorian character meeting guests next to the plane during the promotional event tied to the campaign.
  • The refresh was deployed to align with the May 22, 2026 theatrical release of The Mandalorian and Grogu and the debut of the new Smugglers Run mission at Disney parks.
  • The update continues a multi-year Alaska–Disney partnership of themed aircraft, with this jet (tail N538AS) added to a fleet that includes prior Pixar and Tiana liveries.
