Alaska Airlines Adds Santa Rosa Routes and Restores Long BeachSeattle Link

The additions make Alaska the only carrier connecting Seattle to all five Los Angeles Basin airports.

Overview

  • Alaska Airlines, which announced the changes Thursday, will launch three new nonstop routes from Santa Rosa in November and bring back Seattle service to Long Beach in September.
  • The Long Beach–Seattle route returns with two daily year-round flights on Boeing 737s starting Sept. 8, according to schedules published by travel outlets.
  • Santa Rosa flights to Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Boise begin Nov. 1 on Embraer 175 jets and operate daily or up to daily during the winter season.
  • Alaska says its regional jets already offer Starlink Wi‑Fi and its mainline fleet will get Starlink during 2026, and Atmos Rewards members can check a case of wine for free under the Wine Flies Free perk.
  • The carrier underscores its lead at Santa Rosa and expands its Seattle reach across the LA area, a move that follows Southwest’s recent entry into Sonoma County.
