Overview
- During the Thursday, Aug. 6, episode of TODAY, Roker stopped his plaza segment to greet a couple whose sign read “I’m married to Al Roker’s twin.”
- The fan identified as Percy confirmed that people often tell him he looks like Roker, saying “a lot of people.”
- Roker reacted on-air with joking surprise, calling the resemblance “freaky” and teasing the woman married to Percy about her situation.
- The same episode included a reunion with singer Role Model, who joined Roker for a weather bit to promote his new album and to recall their viral plaza moment from August 2025.
- The encounter continues a pattern for the long-serving weatherman of playful, audience-driven moments and past doppelgänger meetings that keep TODAY’s plaza coverage viral and viewer-facing.
