Overview
- Akasa Air announced four weekly direct flights between Mumbai and Hanoi starting September 4, 2026, with bookings now open on its website and travel apps.
- The service will operate on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as QP 0625 from Mumbai (5:35 am to 12:00 pm local time) and QP 0626 from Hanoi (1:30 pm to 5:10 pm local time).
- The airline becomes the first Indian carrier on the Mumbai–Hanoi route, which until now was flown by VietJet and Vietnam Airlines.
- Industry commentary says the nonstop link trims total travel time to under five hours versus more than nine hours on one-stop options through hubs like Bangkok or Singapore.
- Hanoi is Akasa’s seventh international destination as it builds out Southeast Asia connectivity, a trend driven by growing Indian leisure and business travel that could spur more routes and sharper fares.
