Airman Probed in Fellow Airman’s Fatal Shooting Found Dead at F.E. Warren

Base officials say both deaths remain under investigation to determine the full circumstances.

Overview

  • Airman 1st Class Marcus White Allen was found dead on Oct. 8 at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, according to the 90th Missile Wing.
  • White Allen had been arrested in early August in connection with the July 20 death of Airman Brayden Lovan and was under investigation for involuntary manslaughter and suspicion of making a false official statement.
  • Lovan was fatally shot with a Sig Sauer M18 pistol, prompting Air Force Global Strike Command to pause use of the weapon and order a command-wide inspection.
  • After concluding the pistols were safe and reliable, the command returned the M18 to service on Aug. 25 and implemented stronger inspection procedures and renewed emphasis on muzzle discipline.
  • White Allen served in the 90th Security Forces Squadron, having entered active duty in January 2023, and the unit’s security forces protect nuclear weapons and missile silos in Wyoming.
