Air India Unveils Flagship Maharaja Lounge at Delhi T3, Opening Feb. 16

Designed as the template for a global lounge rollout, the space marks a tangible step in Air India’s premium overhaul.

Overview

  • The 16,000-square-foot lounge at Terminal 3’s international pier seats about 300 guests across dedicated First and Business areas.
  • Access begins February 16 for First and Business travelers, Maharaja Club Gold and Platinum members, and eligible Star Alliance customers.
  • Amenities include The Aviator’s Bar, The Globetrotter’s Study, a Serenity Area, sleep suites, live cooking stations, a tea program, and a roaming “Beverage on Wheels” service with curated cocktails.
  • CEO Campbell Wilson said the Delhi lounge is the model for planned openings in San Francisco, New York, and additional markets.
  • Air India said cabin upgrades continue, with half of its narrowbody A320neo fleet retrofitted, 787-8 work commencing, and 777 retrofits pushed to early 2027 due to seat-supplier constraints.
