Air Canada Announces New Bedding and Reusable Amenity Kits for International Flights
The airline says the upgrades aim to help travellers arrive more rested by pairing cabin-specific bedding with Canadian-made, reusable amenity kits.
Overview
- Air Canada announced the collection on Wednesday and said the rollout will begin on international routes this month or in the coming weeks, with some trade reporting an August start for certain items.
- The program introduces cabin-differentiated bedding: a 145 gsm duvet and 16.5 oz AirFlow pillow for Signature Class and six-foot polar fleece blankets for Premium Economy and Economy.
- Signature Class amenity kits will include Sahajan’s Lip Karma lip balm and The Hand Remedy hand cream, both produced by Hunter Amenities at its Burlington, Ontario facility.
- Amenity kits were designed with Hunter Amenities to be reusable and feature travel essentials such as a contoured eye mask, 3M earplugs (NRR 32), knitted socks, and a bamboo toothbrush with Colgate toothpaste.
- Air Canada frames the move as part of its 'Glowing Hearted' customer experience strategy to reduce in-flight dehydration and improve rest on long-haul flights, while highlighting domestic suppliers and sustainable packaging.
