Air Canada Adds Second Cafés at Vancouver and Montréal, Growing Grab-and-Go Lounge Network to Six

The move signals a push to serve busier hubs with fast, locally sourced options for eligible travelers.

Overview

  • Air Canada opened two new Air Canada Cafés Friday, April 10, adding an 84-seat site in Vancouver’s domestic Concourse C and a 62-seat location in Montréal’s U.S. preclearance area to bring the network to six.
  • The expansion answers heavier traffic at key hubs as Vancouver International Airport reached a record 26.9 million passengers in 2025 and Air Canada builds out its West Coast hub.
  • The Café format is a quick-service lounge that lets eligible flyers grab barista coffee, snacks and packaged meals to take to the gate, which differs from full-service Maple Leaf Lounges.
  • Both new cafés lean into local identity, with Vancouver showcasing an Indigenous art wall by Kelly Cannell and items like Lee’s Donuts and BC beverages, while Montréal features smoked meat sandwiches, fresh bagels, pistachio croissants and Quebec-made wine, gin and beer.
  • Access remains limited to Air Canada business-class customers, Aeroplan 50K, 75K and Super Elite members, Star Alliance Gold members and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders.
