Agencies Launch Joint Push to Decongest MadhapurHitec City Corridor

Planned utility relocations with encroachment removal will enable targeted widening at key choke points.

Overview

  • Senior teams from the municipal corporation, water board, traffic police, irrigation department and TSIIC conducted a coordinated inspection on Saturday of priority stretches in Madhapur and Hitec City.
  • Officials reviewed ongoing widening between Lemon Tree and Trident/Cyber Towers and examined the Cyber Towers to Medicover junction, both flagged as peak‐hour bottlenecks.
  • Measures under consideration include shifting air valves and relocating electric poles after assessments of carriageway width, encroachments and utility conflicts.
  • Contractors were directed to expedite and synchronise works, with additional site reviews carried out at Durgam Cheruvu and Nectar Garden.
  • The corridor handles roughly 130,000 daily commuters, and authorities say the completed works are expected to ease congestion and improve safety.
