Overview
- GMS reports AfD at 27% and CDU/CSU at 24%, the largest AfD advantage over the Union yet recorded in a nationwide poll, a notable result for a firm that has often measured lower AfD support.

- Compared with GMS results a year earlier, the AfD gained nine points and the Union lost nine, marking an 18-point shift in the balance between the two.
- An Insa poll from the same period also showed the AfD leading with 26% to the Union’s 25%, while other major institutes such as Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, Allensbach and Infratest dimap show the Union ahead or a tie.
- GMS shows limited movement for other parties: SPD 15%, Greens 12%, Linke 10%, BSW 4%, FDP 3%, Freie Wähler 2%, and others 3%.
