- Argentina's Servicio Meteorológico Nacional issued a yellow alert for Corrientes for 28 August forecasting 30–50 mm, strong gusts, possible hail and frequent lightning while Buenos Aires is forecast humid but without new rain.
- Residents should expect wet, gusty conditions and possible travel disruption in affected areas and coastal risks from rissagas, and AEMET says a more stable, anticyclonic pattern should bring improvement by the weekend (29–30 August).
