Overview
- Southbound SR 51 will be closed between Northern and Highland avenues from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for asphalt removal.
- Southbound SR 51 on-ramps at 32nd Street and 26th Street will be closed during the work.
- ADOT advises drivers bound for downtown Phoenix or Sky Harbor to use southbound I-17 as an alternate to SR 51.
- Traffic exiting SR 51 at Northern Avenue will detour south on 16th Street with re-entry available at Highland Avenue or Indian School Road.
- The eastbound Loop 303 ramp to southbound I-17 will be closed Saturday from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m., with southbound I-17 reduced to two lanes between Dove Valley Road and Dixileta Drive and posted detours via 43rd Avenue and Dove Valley Road.
