- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled and laid foundations for 497 works worth ₹1,055 crore in Gorakhpur, including a new Eco Park and the Nausad–Malauni four-lane road.
- Municipal officials said they cleared 2.26 lakh metric tonnes of decades-old waste to build the Eco Park, which now offers play areas, yoga zones and family recreation space.
- The chief minister launched the Swachh School Abhiyan, a cleanliness drive that will enlist over one lakh students in home outreach, contests and lessons on reduce, reuse and recycle.
- He also deployed new civic vehicles, including CNG units and a “moksh vehicle” used to transport mortal remains, and opened six smart roads built under the state’s CM Grid program.
- Officials announced more than ₹200 crore for targeted corridor upgrades along with storm drains, green belts, park work and urban forestry, extending a multi-year push that strengthened AIIMS Gorakhpur and BRD Medical College.
