Overview
- Adani Green said it will spend about Rs 15,000 crore this fiscal year to install more than 10 GWh of battery storage.
- The plan sits on top of about 3 GWh of storage that is near completion following 1.4 GWh commissioned in FY26.
- About 75% of the new battery capacity is tied to 25-year fixed-tariff power purchase agreements that lock in long-term prices.
- The storage systems are being built alongside the company’s Khavda renewable park in Gujarat to pair batteries with solar and wind output.
- The company says batteries will shift daytime solar into the evening peak to support round-the-clock clean power as India’s grid storage market remains early-stage.
