Adani Green Adds 5,051 MW In FY26, Lifts Operating Fleet To 19.3 GW

The surge centers on Khavda, showing how storage at a single mega-site can steady a fast-growing renewables hub.

Overview

  • AGEL, which reported the results Wednesday, said the build was among the largest annual greenfield rollouts outside China.
  • The new capacity spans 3,409 MW of solar, 686 MW of wind, and 956 MW of wind–solar hybrids.
  • At the Khavda complex in Gujarat, installed capacity has reached about 9.4 GW toward a planned 30 GW by 2029 as the company works toward 50 GW by 2030.
  • AGEL commissioned 1,376 megawatt-hours of battery storage at Khavda within eight months to help smooth output and support grid stability.
  • In its own release, the company estimates the FY26 build could avoid about 10 million tonnes of CO2 a year, with 36 million tonnes for the full operating fleet.
