Overview
- Adam Lucas, found in the River Leam on Wednesday at Victoria Park, has been named by his family, who called him a loved father and grandfather.
- A post-mortem on Thursday concluded he died from injuries consistent with an assault, which led Warwickshire Police to launch a murder investigation.
- Detectives are reviewing CCTV and have placed officers in and around the park to speak with residents and offer reassurance, according to Det Insp Gareth Unett.
- Police asked anyone who noticed anything suspicious from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning to report tips quoting incident 68 of 15 April via 101 or Crimestoppers.
- Officers informed and are supporting Mr. Lucas’s next of kin, and they warned that online speculation could distress the family and hinder the investigation.
