Activision Sets April 17 Shutdown for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

Activision cites weak uptake among mobile-first players as the reason.

Overview

  • Servers will go offline on April 17, 2026, marking the final step after earlier service reductions.
  • Refunds will not be issued for prior purchases or unused COD Points, which Activision urges players to spend before the shutdown.
  • Warzone Mobile was delisted from app stores in May 2025 as seasonal content, social features, gameplay updates, and real-money purchases were ended.
  • The title launched in March 2024 with around 50 million pre-registrations and cross-progression to PC and console but failed to retain a mobile audience.
  • Players are being directed to Call of Duty: Mobile and to core PC/console Call of Duty titles, with some Warzone Mobile content transferable to the main Warzone.
