Accenture Moves to Build Network AI With Avanseus Buy and Ookla Deal

Overview

• Accenture announced a strategic agreement on Mar. 3 to acquire Ookla, owner of Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau and RootMetrics, to strengthen network intelligence for telecoms, cloud providers and enterprises.
• Management said Ookla’s platform logs more than 250 million monthly user tests with roughly 1,000 data points per test, helping clients measure, optimize and secure Wi‑Fi and 5G performance as AI use expands.
• On Feb. 24, Accenture reported acquiring Avanseus’s advanced AI technology, adding predictive, anomaly‑detection and optimization models to speed development of agentic AI for autonomous networks.

• Analyst consensus remains constructive, with 54% of 48 analysts rating ACN a Buy and an average price target near $301 as of Mar. 3, while shares trade about 45% below their peak and yield roughly 3.1%.
