Abra Group to Add Seven Airbus A330-900s in 2026–27, With Five Going to GOL and Two to Avianca

The plan positions GOL for its first widebody operations with Wamos Air providing operational support.

Overview

  • GOL will take five A330-900s on operating leases from Avolon, while two aircraft are initially allocated to Avianca.
  • The seven A330-900s earmarked for Abra are currently flying with rival Azul, and GOL has reserved seven registrations with Brazil’s ANAC.
  • Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2026, with specific entry-into-service dates and route plans yet to be announced.
  • Wamos Air will support crew training and operations as the widebodies are integrated into GOL and Avianca networks.
