- Police checked the vehicle around midday Thursday on the A3 near Erlangen and seized a large cache of consumer goods.
- Officers found more than 800 chocolate bars, over 120 pairs of socks and numerous drugstore items in the car.
- The items were valued at a minimum of €5,000, according to the police estimate.
- The 45-year-old passenger was identified as the subject of a Hessian theft warrant, and the 43-year-old driver was unable to clarify the goods’ origin.
- Authorities said neither occupant could explain where the items came from, and the seized goods are being held as the theft investigation proceeds.
