A1 Reopens Between Firenze Sud and Incisa After Crash as Long Queues Persist

Traffic now runs on one lane per direction with official detours in place.

  • The Firenze Sud–Incisa stretch was closed for about three hours from roughly 05:00 to 08:00 before reopening.
  • Autostrade reports traffic confined to one lane in each direction, with about 8 km of queues toward Rome and up to 14 km toward Florence.
  • Aspi advises drivers bound for Rome to exit at Firenze Sud and rejoin at Incisa, with long‑distance traffic routed via Firenze Impruneta, the SS326 Raccordo Siena–Bettolle and reentry at Valdichiana.
  • Firefighters, medical and mechanical rescue teams, Highway Patrol units and Autostrade personnel intervened on site, and the worksite was correctly pre‑signalled.
