Overview
- The partial disruption began Friday, June 5, and the first day of road transfers ran with few incidents and only minor delays at the provisional terminal.
- Between June 5 and June 25 Renfe will use replacement buses for services between A Coruña and Santiago and between A Coruña and Betanzos-Infesta covering Regional, Media Distancia, Avant and some long-distance services.
- A full suspension of rail traffic is scheduled from June 26 to July 10 so ADIF can finish the new track layout and platforms and commission the renovated intermodal station.
- Operational exceptions tied to rolling-stock rotations mean the Madrid–A Coruña service on June 25 will run by road between Santiago and A Coruña and early services on July 11 may still be modified.
- ADIF has reconfigured the provisional terminal with reserved bus zones, new signage, a closed pedestrian footbridge, removed short-term parking replaced by disabled spaces, and security controls, and the project is part of an €86.7 million ADIF Alta Velocidad investment in the station.
