  • The 355th Wing flew a two-ship ceremonial sortie on Thursday, July 30, to mark the end of A-10C flight operations at Davis‑Monthan Air Force Base after the aircraft first arrived there in 1976.
  • Aircraft that were based in Tucson are being relocated to other installations, with several fighters reported headed to Georgia as Davis‑Monthan ends its A-10 missions.
  • The final flight follows recent operational milestones including the 357th Fighter Squadron graduating the last A-10 pilot class in April and the mid‑March completion of mission qualification training.
