400-Meter OOCL Portugal Berths at Hamburg's Tollerort Terminal

Harbor police paused through shipping for about an hour to enable safe maneuvering of the ultra-large vessel.

Overview

  • The container ship arrived overnight Sunday at HHLA's Tollerort terminal, according to Hamburg police.
  • Through traffic on the Elbe was suspended for roughly one hour so the ship could turn and berth opposite Steinwerder.
  • The vessel is about 400 meters long and nearly 62 meters wide, was built in 2024, and has a draft of up to 16.5 meters.
  • It sailed from Rotterdam and is scheduled to continue to Antwerp after its stay in Hamburg.
  • Another 400-meter ship, the Ever Acme, is expected to enter the port on Monday morning.
