Overview
- Two separate shootings in the Austin neighborhood left three teenagers injured in incidents about an hour apart.
- In the first case on the 1100 block of North Austin Avenue, two 18-year-olds were shot after an argument with a man standing outside a gray SUV.
- A driver took the 18-year-olds to Loretto Hospital, where both were listed in fair condition after one was hit in the face and leg and the other in the foot.
- In a later incident inside an apartment on the 5400 block of West End, officers found a 17-year-old with chest and back wounds and performed life-saving measures before transport to Mt. Sinai in critical condition.
- Area Four detectives are investigating both shootings, and police have not announced arrests or identified who opened fire.
