Overview
- The 28-year-old driver was attempting to tow a vehicle near the 7200 block of South Paulina Street around 10:45 p.m. when a dark-colored car approached and pursued him.
- He flagged down officers in the 1400 block of West 71st Street and reported that a man in the pursuing car pointed a gun at him.
- Police soon located the vehicle and took a 49-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old woman into custody.
- A firearm was recovered, the motive remains under investigation, and police say charging decisions are pending.
- The tow company released dashcam video it says shows a weapon pointed from the car, and the driver, who works for a Northwest Indiana company, said he steered toward police lights to get help.
