Overview
- The Spanish government transferred 585 coastal management files on July 1 but 270 remain pending review by Xunta technicians
- Of the 127 titles resolved, 75 were in protective servitude zones and 52 in maritime-terrestrial areas, including 40 stemming from State-transferred files
- Officials have received 1,644 digital consultations on the new coastal permit procedures since the unified e-application went live
- On July 1 the Xunta replaced five paper forms with a single electronic application to accelerate processing of coastal use and occupation permits
- A mid-September summit will bring all coastal municipalities together for technical training and coincide with the launch of a public registry of authorisations
