26-Year-Old Killed Outside Blackhorse Road Station as Separate Murder Charge Filed

Police pursue parallel inquiries on the same street, with an appeal for dashcam footage.

  • Officers, paramedics and firefighters responded around 12.30am Friday to a collision at Forest Road and Blackhorse Road, where a car struck a pedestrian and then hit a building.
  • The pedestrian, a 26-year-old man, was treated at the scene and pronounced dead at 1.04am, and next-of-kin have been informed.
  • The driver, a 52-year-old man who sustained minor injuries, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
  • A separate incident the previous morning at an address on Blackhorse Road left a 70-year-old woman dead, and Emma Nightingale, 36, has been charged with murder and remanded to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
