Overview
- The jatha, which crossed the Attari–Wagah border on Friday, numbered 2,238 according to Pakistan’s Evacuee Trust Property Board.
- Pakistan had issued roughly 2,800 visas, yet more than 600 visa holders did not travel and about 70 were stopped at India’s checkpoint for lacking clearances.
- Pilgrims are following a 10-day itinerary that includes Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur, with the main ceremony set for April 14 at Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal.
- Officials led by ETPB and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee arranged lodging, transport, security, medical care and langar for the visitors.
