21-Year-Old Charged After Car Allegedly Driven at Pedestrian in Alnwick

Police now ask the public for CCTV or witness footage as the case goes to court.

  • A black Audi A3 is reported to have left the road and been repeatedly driven at a pedestrian at the St Thomas' Crescent and Sycamore Avenue junction, in an incident that occurred on Friday, May 29.
  • The injured man, described as in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries and remains under treatment.
  • Police arrested a 21-year-old after the May 29 call and have formally charged him as Keowen Eaton, 21, of the Amble area, with grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving.
  • Northumbria Police say the investigation is at an early stage, that those involved are believed to be known to each other, and they are asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them quoting reference NP-20260529-0981.
  • The charged defendant is due to appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court as the inquiry moves from police investigation toward criminal court proceedings and possible further hearings.
