Overview
- Deputies responded to the two-vehicle collision at County Highway V and Mill Pond Road and say a southbound car failed to yield to a northbound vehicle, causing the crash on Sunday morning.
- A 68-year-old woman from Kewaskum was critically injured, taken to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital, and was pronounced dead while staff prepared her transfer to ThedaStar Medical Transport.
- A 21-year-old man from Campbellsport was arrested on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail, but formal charges have not yet been filed.
- Three other people sustained mostly minor injuries: a 16-year-old female passenger from Kewaskum and a 20-year-old passenger from Kewaskum were treated at the scene or hospital and released, and the 21-year-old driver received minor treatment.
- The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office continues to gather evidence and investigators will move findings to the district attorney for review as officials work to confirm toxicology and other details from the crash.
