19-Year-Old Jailed for Grooming 14-Year-Old He Met on Roblox

The case shows online contact on children's games can move to private apps then turn into real‑world harm.

Overview

  • Carlo Tritta, sentenced Thursday at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, received 28 months for sexual communication with a child, indecent images, witness intimidation and criminal damage.
  • He first contacted the girl on Roblox in September 2024, moved chats to Snapchat, Discord and WhatsApp, and pressured her with gifts, takeaways and Moonpig cards to make her think they were a couple.
  • After the girl’s mother found messages in August 2025, police seized Tritta’s phone and charged him with sexual communication with a child, causing her to view a sexual act and making indecent images, including 25 in Category A.
  • While on bail and even after a suspended sentence on December 11, he twice traveled from Bishopstoke to the Manchester home, entered through the back door, confronted the girl and her mother, and damaged a CCTV camera.
  • The girl said she feels trapped and scared at home, the judge assessed Tritta as a high risk to children, and Roblox detailed age checks, AI grooming detection and tighter chat limits as police urged parents to monitor app use.
