19-Year-Old Charged With Murder in Double Stabbing at Oswego Chick-fil-A

Prosecutors have filed 11 felony counts against 19-year-old Darryl Lee Jr., with motive still under investigation.

Overview

  • Authorities identified the man killed as Tracey J. Land, 52, a delivery driver from Bridgeview, and an autopsy reported multiple traumatic injuries.
  • Investigators say the attacker broke in around 3:10 a.m., killed Land with a hammer and a knife, and attempted to clean the scene before a second assault near 5 a.m.
  • The second victim, 20-year-old contracted maintenance worker Sergio Uribe Jr., was stabbed outside the restaurant and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
  • Uribe and his mother, aided by a witness, restrained the assailant until officers arrived within minutes and took the suspect into custody.
  • Lee is being held at the Kendall County Jail ahead of a Friday court appearance, and agencies reported no broader public threat as they continue to examine evidence.
