18-Year-Old Firefighter Killed in Clermont County Motorcycle Crash

Troopers are reconstructing the crash sequence to determine how a rear-end impact led to a fatal cross-center collision.

Overview

  • A motorcycle crash on State Route 131 near Dry Run Road left 18-year-old Wyatt Fisher dead after he was taken to a hospital and later died from his injuries in what officials describe as a multi-vehicle collision on Monday.
  • The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s preliminary account says the motorcyclist struck a 2017 Ford Escape from behind, was forced across the center line, and then hit a Volkswagen Routan that was stopped in westbound traffic.
  • Fisher, a Blanchester native, served with the Stonelick Township Fire Department, was a cadet with Wayne Township Fire and EMS, and had recently become an assistant boys soccer coach at Clermont Northeastern High School.
  • The investigation remains active under the Ohio State Highway Patrol and no final determinations or charges have been announced as troopers continue evidence review and reconstruction work.
  • Visitation is scheduled for July 16 with a funeral and fire-service procession on July 17, and a community GoFundMe has been launched to cover expenses with leftover funds slated for charity, reflecting broader local support for volunteer first responders.
